STRATEGY GUIDE

Attritable Swarm is a resource game disguised as an arcade shooter. Every release spends drones you cannot easily get back, so the winning question is always the same: how many drones does this target deserve? This guide covers the numbers and habits that help you climb the ranks. New to the game? Start with the field manual.

THE CORE LOOP: RIGHT-SIZE THE SWARM

Too few drones leave the target alive and firing back. Too many waste arsenal you will need later. The red NEED tick above the slider shows how many drones finish the target at its current health. Two cautions: each release deals roughly ±15% variable damage, so add a small margin (5–10%) when you want a one-shot kill, and the tick does not count drones still in flight, so wait for your swarm to land before releasing again.

ARSENAL MANAGEMENT

TARGET PRIORITY

All armed targets drain the same health bar, and enemy fire grows stronger every level. Targets cannot shoot until their spin-up finishes, so a decisive strike inside that window costs you no health at all. Cheap targets are the best trade: a soldier squad takes only about 8 drones to silence. Expensive targets deserve a big salvo early, before they arm, rather than a slow trickle while they hit you.

SCORING & EFFICIENCY STREAKS

LANES & MOVEMENT

Space and the RELEASE button fire on the target in your lane, while clicking or tapping a target fires on it directly from any lane. Positioning still matters: drive into a supply crate's lane to collect it, and move out of any lane marked by incoming artillery.

SUPPLY CRATES

Crates appear on every third level starting at level 3, with an occasional extra. They offer an arsenal refill, a health boost, or from level 8 an EMP that delays every target's weapons. The reward is weighted toward whatever you are shortest on, and an ignored crate disappears after about 16 seconds. An EMP is a strong emergency button against a crowded board.

BATTLEFIELD EVENTS

BOSS & ELITE LEVELS

An attack helicopter boss arrives every eighth level, and from level 15 rare elite units (fighter jet, enemy UAS, tank column) can join the wave. Each needs 385–590 drones, while the slider limits how large a single release can be, so expect two or more salvos. Save arsenal before milestone levels, and line a swarm window up with the boss if one appears.
